All The Better To Eat You With
Hanging sculptural piece, bespoke velvet cloak and sound installation. All The Better To Eat You With looks at the changing nature of fairy tales and folklore, how well known tales have changed over centuries of retelling depending on the story teller, the audience, the taboos of the time and several other factors. This piece features an audio hidden inside the cape composed of the voices of eight people, ranging from age seven to age twenty-eight, all of whom are recounting the story of Little Red Riding Hood as they remember it. Each and every account is different, though several feature passages that are nearly identical. 2011
